Our new AutoLearn feature uses artificial intelligence to automatically “learn” (by exact location and frequency) each radar signal and determines if it’s a real threat. The result is the most accurate long-range protection in the industry and a permanent solution to false alarms.

We’ve addressed the increasing number of “safety” cameras installed throughout the U.S. and Canada, by including red light and fixed-position speed cameras. Each model is shipped pre-loaded with thousands of these camera locations stored in its memory. As you approach these locations, the 9500ix will alert you in advance, keeping you up-to-date and ticket-free. You can even add your own “hot spots” using our exclusive Mark Location feature. And, since the number of “safety” cameras continues to grow each day, we’ve made it simple and easy to keep you updated.

Web Ready

The PASSPORT 9500ix is the first radar and laser detector that can be easily updated using your computer and the power of the internet. Simply connect your detector to your computer, log on to our website, and download the most up to date locations. You can even back up your data or update the detector’s operating software, (firmware), if needed. The database is updated weekly, and Escort provides 90 days of downloadable updates for free. DEFENDER® Database Subscriptions are also available to keep you up to date on future Speed Traps, Red Light Cameras and Speed Cameras.

Variable Speed Sensitivity – On Demand Performance

Our patented GPS technology allows us to make your driving experience free from distractions and less complicated. For example, both models use GPS to vary X and K-band sensitivity based on your vehicle’s speed. This allows the detector to provide alerts based on what the vehicle is actually doing. At highway speeds you need the best long range sensitivity you can get. At slower speeds, the sensitivity can be adjusted to further reduce unneeded alerts, especially when you’re not at risk. We’ve even changed the actual alert to a short double-tone when your vehicle is moving less than 20 mph.

All of products are pre-set and ready to go. However, each of them can be set up for your specific type of driving and personal preference. Our Preferences option allows you to change several options, including which radar bands you’d like to monitor, which meter you would like to see when a signal is detected and whether you’d like to see your vehicle speed during the initial alert.  AutoVolume

The PASSPORT 9500ix will adjust the alert volume level based on the ambient noise in the vehicle. Using a miniature microphone, the 9500ix monitors ambient noise and will increase the volume level automatically to ensure you take notice even with loud music, passenger conversations or excessive wind noise. Now each alert will be heard so you can react if needed.

PASSPORT 9500ix comes complete with comprehensive owner’s manual, quick-release windshield mount, coiled SmartCord, quick reference card, and an ESCORT travel case.
